No more free solar panels in Brussels Region as of 01/01/2023

BRUSSELS 17/10/2022 - Brussels Energy Minister Alain Maron and Brugel, that is the Brussels electricity regulator, have just officially confirmed that as of 1 January 2023, green certificates for solar panels will drop drastically (click here for the official communication). For residential installations, they will drop by as much as 30%. As the cost price of an installation rises at the same time, from 1 January 2023 it is not tenable for Brusol to continue offering free solar panels for households in the Brussels Region.

For a few more weeks, Brussels residents can register for the free offer. After that, we will either close this offer or work on a new, fee-based model. More on this later.
